We are happy to share that Lu Tang, associate professor and VCE of biostatistics and health data science, has been selected as an elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), one of the most prestigious global organizations dedicated to advancing the understanding, development and good practice of statistics worldwide.

Election to the ISI is a significant honor that recognizes individuals who have made notable contributions to the statistical sciences through impactful research, teaching, leadership and service. Elected membership is not automatically granted; candidates are nominated and reviewed by a panel of experts, making this recognition a mark of high distinction and professional achievement in the field.

As a member of the ISI, Tang joins a global network of leading statisticians who contribute to the mission of improving statistical literacy, fostering professional collaboration, and shaping future generations of statisticians. We extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Tang on this well-deserved honor.
