We offer our main orientation for new students once a year before the start of the fall term. We offer a truncated spring program for graduate students beginning their first academic year in the spring term.
- APHA Annual Meeting

Pitt Public Health students, faculty and alumni have a big presence each year at the annual APHA Annual Meeting & Expo, the largest and most influential annual gathering of public health professionals coming to present, learn and find inspiration. Thousands of public health professionals come together to learn, network and advance their careers.
If you'll be participating this fall, be sure to touch base with your Pitt colleagues who will be presenting. Or, if you're unable to attend, stay up on what's happening via social media.

Pitt Public Health’s annual spring showcase of student research hosts poster sessions during which students present their work to the multidisciplinary Pitt Public Health community.
To participate, students must prepare and submit an abstract. All students who submit abstracts give poster presentations. All currently matriculated Pitt Public Health students are eligible to compete, with the exception of the previous year’s first place master’s and doctoral winners.
- Graduation Ceremony

The annual Pitt Public Health Graduation Ceremony is held at the end of the spring term. The next event, May 2, 2025, will honor graduates from June, August, and December of 2024 and April of 2025.
