Center for Public Health Practice

The Center for Public Health Practice is committed to partnering with local, national and global practitioners to provide innovative public health practice experiences and policy research to improve population health for all communities.

The Center for Public Health Practice's mission is carried out through four goals:

  1. Support and promote practitioner excellence through bi-directional training between Pitt faculty and practitioners.
  2. Encourage and celebrate excellence in public health practice
  3. Promote translation of public health research findings into policy and practice
  4. Support Pitt Public Health programs with practice requirements.

Public Health Practice Showcase

CPHP's Practice Showcase celebrates the impactful work of our students, faculty, and community partners in advancing public health practice. 

Disaster Certificate Program

This 15-credit certificate program allows graduate-level Pitt Public Health students to gain mastery in emergency preparedness and disaster response. 

Environmental Summit

An annual community-informed symposium focused on environmental health in the Pittsburgh region. 

Research Translation

Services to support researchers across the School of Public Health and expand knowledge into the community.
