The Department of Health Policy and Management has more than 1,700 distinguished alums who hold positions in health care administration and policy worldwide. In addition, a third of our alums hold top leadership positions within their organizations, including president, chief executive officer, and executive director.

HPM Alumni Association (HPMAA)

The HPM Alumni Association connects alumni with current students, faculty and staff in the department. HPMAA is a co-host of the annual Dawn Gideon and Kevin Altomari Symposium and welcomes the new HPM cohort to Pittsburgh each fall with a networking mixer. It also connects alumni through networking and mentorship programs and events.

HPMAA Mentoring Program

Program Overview

The Health Policy & Management (HPM) Mentorship Program connects early-careerists, mid-career professionals, and seasoned leaders within the Pitt Public Health community. The program fosters meaningful relationships that support professional growth, leadership development, and lifelong engagement in the health policy and management field.

Participants are thoughtfully matched to encourage knowledge-sharing, career exploration, and cross-generational learning
