Training Opportunity for Junior Faculty

Magee-Womens Research Institute is the coordinating site for the University of Pittsburgh's NIH Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH) Career Development Program (K12) training grant. We are currently accepting applications from junior faculty across the University of Pittsburgh's Schools of the Health Sciences who wish to pursue a career in basic, translational, clinical and/or health services research relevant to women's health. The program will enable faculty scholars to engage in research at 75% of their academically-defined time for a period of 2-3 years. (Note: BIRCWH research effort may be reduced to 50% FTE for faculty in surgical specialties such as general surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, etc.) Funds are provided for scholar salary support, research expenses, coursework and travel. Additional information may be found at our website>. We have one position available, effective July 1, 2015. The attached application form provides additional information regarding the program. We are now accepting applications for 2015. The application deadline is 5 pm on March 20th, with final selection of candidates anticipated by early May. Questions may be directed to the Program Coordinator, Lori Rideout (rideoutl@mwri.magee.edu, or by telephone at 412-641-2675).
