BCHS Faculty have partnered with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center health system to conduct community health needs assessments for their 13 hospitals in the region.

Recent changes to the IRS requirements of not-for-profit hospitals to maintain their tax exempt status include assessing and prioritizing community health needs, engaging the community, and implementing and evaluating each of the hospitals' community benefit programs. 

'BCHS Faculty chosen for NIDA-funded HIV research ethics fellowship

This program includes a 10-day intensive training in HIV research ethics in New York City by world-renown scholars, pilot award funding and individual one-on-one mentorship for a specified research project relating to HIV research ethics over the next two years.
