Zeni: 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award for Teaching and Dissemination

Mary Beth Zeni is an associate professor at Ursuline College in the Graduate Nursing Program and PI of a SAMHSA three-year funded Medication Assisted Treatment grant in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy Program Evaluation and Research Unit.
Since completing her ScD in 1993 from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, she has held research positions with state health departments and academic appointments. Her area of research is access to equitable and quality health services for vulnerable groups. Zeni has published and presented within international, national and regional venues. She recently published an applied epidemiology textbook for advanced practice nurses through Jones & Bartlett Learning.
In addition to her doctorate degree in health services administration, Zeni earned her MSN in parent-child nursing from Marquette University and her BSN in nursing from Mount St. Joseph University.
