Student Organizations

Pitt Public Health student associations are vibrant, diverse, and multifaceted, focusing on diverse topics in public health and the world at large. The members of our student organizations reflect the dynamic diversity of our student population in terms of gender, race, cultural identity, academic programs and departments, and individual areas of interest and research. They include the best and brightest students of our school, the current and future leaders in the field. Actively engaging in the student government experience allows students to influence their learning environment and make Pitt Public Health a true community of learners.

Upcoming Student Organization Events

Wed 3/21 1:00PM - 2:00PM

The Allegheny County Health Department is recruiting student volunteers to participate in a Medical Reserve Corps activity called a Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER). A CASPER is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-developed epidemiologic technique used to efficiently collect information in the event of an emergency through a door-to-door survey. The Allegheny County Health Department will be conducting this CASPER in June 2018 to collect information about opioid overdose awareness in Allegheny County communities greatly affected by the opioid epidemic. Volunteers are needed! Join us for one of following information sessions to learn about becoming a Medical Reserve Corps member and a CASPER volunteer. Meeting will take place at GSPIA, 3610 Posvar Hall.
