Pitt Bridges is an online job-matching service exclusively for Pitt Public Health. You should familiarize yourself with this tool because it will be very important for your career development. We post job openings and other announcements daily, so check back often!
Looking for on-campus employment?
Student employment opportunities are posted on the University’s Human Resources website— www.pittsource.com, so they do not appear on Pitt Bridges. Students should create a PittSource account to apply for campus jobs.
To access Pitt Bridges, go to https://pittbridges.pitt.edu
Your login information will be the same as your Pitt username and password. If you do not have an active Pitt username and password (alumni with a graduation date before April 2015), please contact Joan Anson to request a sponsored account.
The first thing you should do when entering Pitt Bridges is to complete your profile by clicking on "View/Edit Profile Data" listed under the Profile heading in the grey navigation bar. The more complete your profile is, the better it can work for you! To view events and opportunities, click on Calendar on the grey navigation bar to view all that is happening in the upcoming months. You can register for events and see application deadlines here as well.

- When initially setting up your profile, you will be asked if you prefer to see just the opportunities our office posts or also the positions from the Experience network. We strongly suggest that you change the default and select “see only Career Services-posted opportunities,” as many of the Experience network positions are not relevant for our students. This is the most common confusion about Pitt Bridges.
- When searching for positions in Pitt Bridges, leave the search terms as open as possible. Because some job descriptions are not as detailed as others, you will see more opportunities the fewer fields you fill in. Begin your job hunt by selecting the “Posted by Pitt Public Health Career Services” search on your homepage to view all the jobs that have been recently added; you can pick and choose from there!
- Jobs may appear for which the deadline has already passed. You can avoid seeing these positions by clicking “Accepting Applications” under the “Job Status” field. These old positions can still be useful, however, for investigating new organizations and monitoring the types of jobs being advertised.
- Let Pitt Bridges work for you when you're not even online! By submitting a resume to one of our department- and degree-specific resume books, your information is available to over 1000 employers with the click of a button. Remember: you need to both upload and publish your resume book for employers to see it. After uploading, choose Publish Resume from the Documents drop-down menu.
