Responsibility for Combatting Highly Infectious Neglected Diseases - Matiangai V.S. Sirleaf

Wednesday 3/14 2:00PM - 3:30PM

Ford Institute for Human Security and GSPIA present "Responsibility for Combatting Highly Infectious Neglected Diseases," a lecture by Matiangai V.S. Sirleaf, Assistant Professor, University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Winner of 2017-18 Ford Institute Research Grant for Faculty.

This event will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 2 - 3:30 pm in the Alcoa Room in the Barco Law Building on Pitt's Campus.

Professor Sirleaf will discuss how neglected infectious diseases force us to grapple with several questions:
- When do international actors become responsible for ensuring the right to health?
- When should international actors be responsible for any mistakes, omissions, or actions that result in massive health violations?
- What should such responsibility look like for international actors?
