Pitt’s Senior Vice Chancellor’s Research Seminar Series, also known as the 12@12 series, showcases the work of young investigators across biomedical sciences. Each year, twelve distinguished faculty members throughout the University are selected based on a senior faculty nomination and the significance of their research, which may span cutting-edge fundamental science, translational discoveries with patient care potential, health care implementation and equity, or counter-paradigmatic innovations. Selected presenters receive a $10,000 award to support their research, and their lectures are held virtually at noon on Fridays throughout the year, followed by a brief question-and-answer session.
Lu Tang - PhD | associate professor and vice chair for education, Department of Biostatistics and Health Data Science, School of Public Health
