When students are mindful, they are focused on the present, attentive, and aware of what is happening. In order to bring mindfulness (i.e., not meditation), try out these tips.
- Utilize pauses or slower speech to draw attention to important points.
- Have students write something using their non-dominant hand.
- Encourage students to check in with themselves before small group discussions.
