A native of Phoenix, AZ, Rebecca Boan is pursuing an MS in infectious diseases and microbiology. She studied biology at Northern Arizona University and is interested in archery, crocheting, and working with animals.

Named in honor of professor emertus Robert B. Yee and funded by generous contributions from alumni and friends of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology, this scholarship is awarded to three incoming IDM master's students each year based on academic merit.
