Dean's Day 2021 EPI departmental award recipients

This year, the Department of Epidemiology awarded two prizes: one master's-level and one PhD award.

This year's winner for the MPH category is Darien Beall (EPI '21) who presented a poster on Overdose Death Narratives during COVID-19

For the doctoral category, this year's winner is Mary Schiff (EPI '22). (video available soon)

This year, for the first time, Epi also gave out Health Dispariti Research Awards to Taylor Robinson (EPI '22) and Yu-Hsuan Lai (EPI '22).

Dean's Day is an annual student research competition. Students present their research during multiple poster sessions while faculty members judge presentations for prizes and students evaluate posters for Grand Rounds credit. The Dean invites selected presenters to give oral presentations of their work during the awards ceremony.
