The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers will honor one of its outstanding technical leaders at its next Annual General Assembly. BIOST's Gary Marsh will receive the prestigious Institute Technical Award, which will be presented during the 61st AGM of the IISRP in Bangkok, Thailand, May 12, 2020. Marsh is a leading researcher recognized globally in biostatistics, occupational/environmental epidemiology, quantitative risk assessment, statistical computing, and health services evaluation.

IISRP to Honor Synthetic Rubber Industry Leader

Houston, TX, 25 November 2019 — The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) will honor one of its outstanding technical leaders at its next Annual General Assembly (AGM). Dr. Gary M. Marsh will receive the prestigious Institute Technical Award. The Award will be presented during the 61st AGM of the IISRP in Bangkok, Thailand, at the Awards Ceremony to be held on May 12, 2020.   Dr. Marsh is an leading researcher recognized globally in biostatistics, occupational/environmental epidemiology, quantitative risk assessment, statistical computing, and health services evaluation.

"It is a great honor for IISRP and for me to present this award to a distinguished researcher who has collaborated extensively with the synthetic rubber industry with epidemiological studies that have contributed greatly to its continuation, improvement, and development, by knowing more about the materials used in its production processes," said Juan Ramón Salinas, Managing Director and CEO of IISRP.

Dr. Marsh energetically conducted epidemiological studies of various chemicals and also made significant contributions to enhance the analysis method. And he conducted epidemiological studies of Chloroprene, one of the raw materials of synthetic rubbers, and gave an appropriate evaluation to Chloroprene.

The IISRP is an international not-for-profit trade association with over 50 corporate members, domiciled in 23 countries, who produce 70 percent of the world's supply of synthetic rubber. Incorporated in 1960 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Institute supports regional offices in Milan, Tokyo, and Beijing.
