CourseWeb has many features available that help facilitate interaction with students outside of the classroom, including:
Cloud storage integration
- Instructors can copy files from their cloud storage when authorizing “Content Items” or creating “Assignments.”
- Students can submit assignments from their cloud storage from either: OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Google Drive, Dropbox and Box.
Creating feedback recordings
- Instructors can create personalized feedback recordings for individual assessments or manual gradebook items.
- Each recording can be up to 5 minutes long and can include both audio and video.
- This option is in the third row of the Content Editor as a microphone icon.
Blackboard Collaborate
- This web conferencing feature is now available for faculty and staff.
- Instructors can create virtual classrooms and hold office hours online using the voice, video and desktop sharing tools.
- Hand-raising and polling features as well as breakout rooms allow for real-time interaction.
Blackboard Instructor
- This mobile app allows instructors to view course content, grade assignments, connect with students in discussions, and interact with the class in Blackboard Collaborate all from your mobile device.
