ABOUT THE HEINZ JOURNAL

The Heinz Journal is Carnegie Mellon University’s student-run public policy journal. The Heinz Journal showcases original research from graduate students, faculty, and policy professionals across several disciplines. The Heinz Journal is dedicated to publishing relevant, high-quality research that offers insight into a current political issue and advances the policy debate. After a rigorous selection and editing process, pieces are published on the web at journal.heinz.cmu.edu.    

GUIDELINES  
● Articles must contain graduate-level research.
● Submissions are accepted from students, alumni, and professionals from any discipline.
● Co-authorship is welcomed.
● Citations must be formatted in the Chicago style.
● Submissions should include an abstract.
● Written materials must be submitted in an editable .doc or .docx file format.
● Submissions should be approximately 4,000-10,000 words in length.
● Articles are selected on the basis of their quality, originality, and relevance.
