Dynamic Simulation of Crime Perpetration and Reporting to Examine Community Intervention Strategies


BCHS faculty member, Dr. Jessica Burke, co-authored a paper, entitled “Dynamic Simulation of Crime Perpetration and Reporting to Examine
Community Intervention Strategies” which uses conceptual agent based modeling to explore the impact of neighborhood interventions on community crime.

Co-authors include Michael Yonas (Allegheny County Department of Human Services), Donald Burke (Dean), Shawn T. Brown (Pittsburgh Super Computing Center), Jeffrey Borrebach (MS grad from BIOST), Richard Garland (Instructor, BCHS), and John Grefenstette (Director Dynamics Lab).
