After graduation, our new alumni will pursue careers across a wide array of industry settings and in an increasingly diverse mix of geographical locations.
We place graduates in healthcare delivery settings such as integrated delivery systems, hospitals, group practices, and long-term care, as well as outside healthcare delivery settings such as health insurance companies, consulting firms, and pharmaceutical and medical equipment manufacturers. Historically, about half of our graduates begin their careers in the Greater Pittsburgh area, while the other half spread out as far as the East and West Coasts. Each year, many HPM students apply to and are placed in nationally competitive programs with organizations to develop talent. Commonly called administrative fellowships, these programs often go by different names, but have a similar structure and serve a similar purpose: providing a rotational experience to develop young leaders.
