A mentoring and networking program open to all faculty and students who are interested in Latino health issues, the Interdisciplinary Latino Research Initiative (ILRI) meets on a regular basis to write, discuss, and critique proposals and manuscripts to increase the body of resources and literature regarding Latinos. The ILRI grew out of frequent student requests for assistance in identifying Latino health resources and faculty expertise.
The ILRI typically holds several focused writing sessions each term. Colleagues from disciplines such as public health, education, social work, anthropology, business, medicine, dental health, and psychology have attended from the University of Pittsburgh as well as Duquesne and Carnegie Mellon Universities.
We welcome all disciplines from any university and community affiliation! This is an opportunity to work on writing your paper, thesis, manuscript, grant proposal, etc., in a supportive quiet environment.
Thanks for a great spring term. Fall 2019 dates coming soon!
