Getting Around

Getting Around: Free Public Transportation

Pitt students ride Port Authority Buses and the “T” downtown for free with a student ID. Riding the Duquesne and Monongahela Inclines is also free with a student ID. In addition, the University of Pittsburgh offers shuttles that serve Oakland and a few surrounding areas. The SafeRider shuttle system offers students safe travel in the evening and early morning when regular shuttles aren't operating.
