This certificate program is designed to link the University and community in practical applied evaluation initiatives at the community level. As a student in this program you will:
- Acquire skills to participate in various types of evaluation projects in the public health arena.
- Work on one or more evaluation projects with support from an expert in the field of program evaluation.

- BCHS 2525 Introduction to Applied Research
- BCHS 2558 Health Program Evaluation
- BCHS 2503 Practicum (3 credits, 320-400 hours)
Elective Courses
6 credits
Master's students must choose six credits of electives from the following list of options within and outside of BCHS.
Doctoral students must choose one of the following courses:
- BCHS 2511 Independent Study (with approval of the certificate director)
- BCHS 3003 Seminar in Advanced Evaluation Techniques
Additionally, doctoral students must choose three credits of electives from the following list of options within and outside of BCHS.
An updated list is available each year, and students are welcome to propose additional electives from elsewhere in the University.

Admissions decisions will be made by the MPH program director and committee in conjunction with the director and co-director of the certificate program.
