Code4PA Pitch Day - Pennsylvania Governor’s Opioid Code-athon

Saturday 10/20 8:00AM - 3:00PM
1155 Public Health, Foster Conf. Rm.(former 1149)

Chosen groups will present their pitches to a panel of judges in regional rounds in the morning and final rounds in the afternoon. Judges will select winners and awards will be presented.

Across PA, groups joined in September to utilize data from the data.pa.gov open data portal to generate ideas to help PA turn data into insights for the opioid epidemic.

Sign up an individual or a whole group to compete as teams of 4-6 people work with data (from the state, as well as other novel data sources) to develop  useful tools to help analyze and address the opioid crisis in Pennsylvania.Whether Pitt-affiliated or not, anyone with interest and relevant skills is invited to register and participate, volunteer, or mentor. Public health students, computer scientists, and coders are especially welcome!

  3. Compelling use of the data.pa.gov datasets – 20%

A grand prize of recognition from the governor’s office will be awarded as well as other additional specialty awards.
