US NEWS & WORLD REPORT- In the 2020 edition of "Best Graduate Schools," Pitt's Master of Health Administration (MHA) program surged from 29th to 17th nationally among programs in health care management. The move was one of the largest in the country and now positions the Pitt MHA as the highest-ranked program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

As a result of the new rankings, the Pitt MHA moved ahead of both Penn State and Temple, as well as other established programs at notable institutions around the country including Southern California, New York University, Georgetown, and Boston University. The new ranking is the highest for the Pitt MHA program in over 20 years.

The US News and World Report rankings are based on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to program directors and senior faculty members of graduate programs in the field of Health Care Management. To be eligible for the Health Care Management rankings, programs must be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).
