Every year for Dean's Day the department of BCHS awards two prizes for its students.

This year's winner for the master's category is William Louth-Marquez (MPH '20). He presented a poster on Spatial correlation between poverty, educational attainment and the incidence rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in Pennsylvania and Erie County.

For the doctoral category, this year's winner is Lycis Tramujas Vasconcellos Neumann (PHD '19). She presented a poster on The profile and unmet needs of cancer patients’ family caregivers in Brazil. She also received the Ulrich award in the doctoral category during Dean's Day.

Dean's Day is an annual student research competition. Students present their research during multiple poster sessions while faculty members judge presentations for prizes and students evaluate posters for Grand Rounds credit. The Dean invites selected presenters to give oral presentations of their work during the awards ceremony.
