Apply for JHF Fellowships on End of Life and IT Innovation

About the QI2T Health Innovators Fellowship The QI2T Health Innovators Fellowship is designed both as a competition and a learning experience for young entrepreneurs and graduate students interested in the intersection of health and technology. The goal is for Fellows to form a functional team, work in multidisciplinary teams with clinical and entrepreneurial mentors, and develop and pitch disruptive technology ideas to improve a health problem for an opportunity to win $5,000. The Fellowship includes seven sessions on Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., starting on January 19th and ending on April 19th, at the QI2T Center (650 Smithfield Street, Suite 2600, Pittsburgh, PA 15222). Online Application due 12/11/15: http://www.qitcenter.org/2016-QIT-Health-Innovators-Fellowship.html About the Fellowship on Death and Dying: The Elephant in the Room The Fellowship on Death and Dying takes on a key challenge: the reality that professionals are not well prepared to deal with death, dying, and grieving families. The Fellowship allows participants to learn, confront, and discuss the legal, medical, social, cultural, familial, and spiritual aspects of death and dying within a multidisciplinary group in a low-pressure environment. It includes seven sessions on Mondays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., starting on January 25th and ending on April 4th, at the QI2T Center and select locations in the East End. The sessions include site visits, facilitated conversations, and opportunities to practice conversation skills—a timely skill since Medicare approved payment for advance care planning. During the final sessions, the Fellows will create a community action plan. Online Application due 12/11/15: http://www.qitcenter.org/2016-Fellowship-on-Death-and-Dying.html
