BCHS faculty taking part in modeling core Computational Models of Infectious Disease Threats

BCHS faculty is well represented in the Dynamic Behavioral Modeling core of the University of Pittsburgh MIDAS Center of Excellence, Computational Models of Infectious Disease Threats. BCHS faculty members are working with computer programmers to try to add a behavioral dimension to computer models of infectious disease transmission. The group is also developing models for chronic diseases and examining the infectious basis of many risk factors for chronic disease. In a related effort, BCHS faculty serve as instructors in a new course on computational modeling offered in GSPH.
