Devra Davis to Focus on Environmental Research

After five years of distinguished service as founding director of the Center for Environmental Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI), Devra Davis, PhD, MPH, will move on from UPCI to devote herself to research on environmental causes of major chronic diseases as a professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. She will continue to work closely with the European Environment Agency, Pan American Health Organization, National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Cancer Institute, Israeli Health Ministry and local and state groups in Wyoming and Pennsylvania.

Davis also will be devoting herself to writing and developing her public charitable foundation. The award winning Web site www.preventingcancernow.org will fall under her direction.
