EOH Postdoc Wins Travel Award
Nicholas Fitz, PhD, a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH), was awarded one of the Best Poster Presentations at the University of Pittsburgh Postdoctoral Association (UPPDA) 2009 Postdoctoral Data & Dine Symposium. His poster is titled, “Influence of ABCA1 on Alzheimer’s Pathology and Cognition.”
In recognition of this achievement, the UPPDA will provide a $500 travel award for Fitz to attend a scientific meeting or professional development conference. The travel awards were made possible through the contributions of sponsors across the University of Pittsburgh. Fitz is one of only 10 awardees from across the University whose work was deemed to be exemplary relative to their peers. The principal investigator on the project is Radosveta Koldamova, MD, PhD, EOH research assistant professor.
