2012 Jay L. Foster Community Lecture in Alzheimer's Disease
This year’s lecture featured Anne Basting, PhD, from the University of Wisconsin. Basting is an educator, scholar, and artist who has developed and researched methods for embedding the arts into long term care, with a particular focus on people with cognitive disabilities like dementia.

One Book One Community - Snow screening and panel
Snow, a short, live-action film based on the true story of doctor John Snow, the father of modern epidemiology, enjoyed its Pittsburgh premier as part of GSPH’s One Book One Community event. Writer/director Isaac Ergas participate in a panel discussion on the role of film in public health with Carl Kurlander, Bernard Goldstein, Adam Lowenstein, and Jeremy Martinson.
