Each Public Health Grand Rounds event has a specific code. Please use the reference code assigned to scheduled PHGR events if you need to correspond with Dawnlyn Diehl via email with a question regarding a PHGR event. Code is as follows: PHGR #2101(fall term)-xx(event number)-x(event point value). As a reminder, full-time students registered for PHGR needs at minimum 3 points for the semester; part-time students need 1 point.

Bruce Y. Lee, MD, MBA will lead an exciting discussion on the ongoing 2009 H1N1 Influenza Pandemic. Dr. Lee's work using computer simulation models has been used to inform a range of public health professionals, economists and policymakers in determining the optimal response and recommendations for the current H1N1 pandemic. Dr. Lee is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Graduate School of Public Health. He is a Co-Investigator for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Modeling of Infectious Diseases Agent Study (MIDAS) research and informatics network and a Co-Investigator for the Vaccine Modeling Initiative (VMI), funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
