Every GSPH alumnus is automatically a member of the Alumni Society, and there are no dues. The society plans a variety of alumni activities throughout the year, promotes student/alumni interaction, and confers awards to alumni during the annual alumni dinner.

The offices of President and Immediate Past President are filled automatically by the previous year's Vice President and President, respectively. The office of Secretary/Treasurer is occupied for a two-year term, voted on in odd-numbered years.
Kristi Riccio Festa, MPH ’02
President
Kristi Riccio Festa is currently employed by UPMC Health Plan as a health promotion specialist. Developing worksite wellness programs for UPMC Health System, the University of Pittsburgh, and other commercial accounts is the focus of her daily activities. Prior to that, Kristi worked as a research assistant in the Department of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences at GSPH. Funded by federal tobacco settlement monies, she assisted in the evaluation, surveillance, and monitoring of health promotion and disease prevention activities in Allegheny County. Before her position at GSPH, Kristi was a research assistant on the diabetes chapter of the Guide to Community Preventive Services at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. As a graduate student, Kristi worked with the Pennsylvania division of the American Cancer Society and as a graduate student researcher in her department examining bioterrorism surveillance activities and the privacy and confidentiality issues surrounding them. Kristi was actively involved in the Student Government Association (SGA) of GSPH; her largest undertaking through SGA was chairing the Internship/Career Development Fair in Fall 2001. Kristi earned her MPH in behavioral and community health sciences in August 2002. Her Bachelor of Science degree, earned in August 1999, is in community health from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She is also certified as a health education specialist. Kristi serves as the president of the University of Pittsburgh Alumnae Council.
Anne-Elizabeth McGeary, DrPH '08, MHA '85

After receiving her MHA in 1985, Anne worked as an assistant vice-president at Allegheny General Hospital. Other administration experience includes executive director of the ob/gyn and reproductive sciences department in Pitt’s School of Medicine and the executive director of a joint medical corporation between Highmark and UPMC-Shadyside. In April 2008, she graduated with her doctorate in behavioral and community health sciences. In April 2006, she planned and executed a very successful student/alumni service day with the Allegheny County Health Department during Public Health Week.

A lifelong resident of White Oak, Pa., Tom received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1976. Following that, he worked in private practice and as a consultant and practitioner with the Allegheny County Health Department for 10 years. For the next 15 years, he was an assistant professor of dental medicine in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Pitt. This position included teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities. In 2000, he entered the Multidisciplinary MPH program at GSPH. Following completion of his MPH degree in 2004, Tom re-entered private practice. In addition to servicing patients in his private practice, he is also involved in a regional community health center.
