Courses, Registration, and Deadlines

From studying the role of chromosomes in human disease to evaluating a community health education program, and from focusing on global HIV prevention and control to exploring issues related to bioterrorism, students at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health enroll in classes that address a broad range of public health concerns.

Nationally and internationally renowned professors teach our classes, which are designed to increase students’ competencies and to prepare them for careers in public health research or practice.

The first step in planning for registration for classes is to make an appointment to meet with your academic advisor.

After the advisor approves and signs the registration form, the staff member serving as the department’s student services coordinator will process your form.

Non-degree students planning to apply to a degree program may want to meet with a faculty advisor in the department to which they plan to apply for advice on selecting courses. Other non-degree students may select their courses independently, and will have the registration form signed and processed in the GSPH Office of Student Affairs.
