The position of Educational Programs Coordinator was established in the early 2000's to serve and assist the Associate Dean for Education. The Coordinator's role is to develop and oversee initiatives to support excellence and innovation in teaching and advising. This includes providing professional development opportunities for faculty, directly managing co-curricular initiatives, and managing processes and materials related to accreditation and other external reporting needs.
Robin has been the school’s educational programs coordinator since September of 2009. She is responsible for the school’s grand rounds course, accreditation, core curriculum, teaching and professional development workshops, and the One Book, One Community program. In the fall of 2014, Robin took on the role of practicum coordinator for the school-level large practicum sites.
Prior to joining the student affairs office Robin was the student services/ academic administrator in the department of infectious diseases and microbiology for over four years. During this time she earned a Master’s degree in Higher Education Management from Pitt in 2007. She has been employed within two other schools/ departments at the university since May 2002.
As a native of Western Pennsylvania and enjoys sharing all of the hidden treasures of Pittsburgh with students. Her favorite time of year is “a tie between orientation and graduation as she enjoys the excitement of both events equally.”
