Biostatistics alumni from the class of 1976 Bill Brant, Jim Daley (pictured) and Steve Belle met-up at the school on September 9, 2016, for a mini-reunion. Brant is currently senior vice president at AML Models, PNC Firstside, while Daley serves as product development manager at Morningstar Investment Management, Ibbotson, in the Chicago area. Steve Belle is a current professor in both Epidemiology and Biostatistics and serves as the co-director for the Epidemiology Data Center at Pitt Public Health.

During their reunion, the alumni met with Jong Jeong, the biostatistics department’s interim chair, toured the recently completed research pavilion and G23 renovations, got a preview of the new home for Biostatistics on the seventh floor, and enjoyed visiting their former offices on the as-yet-unrenovated fourth floor. The afternoon also included a meeting with the career services team to share their 40 years of career advice and reflections post-graduation.

The group also attended the evening Fall Alumni Reception at the University Club joining over 30 other Pitt Public Health alumni.
